The Rural Bank of Pandi (Bulacan), Inc. is located in the town of Pandi, Province of Bulacan. The town of Pandi is approximately 40 km. away from Manila and is composed of 22 barangays or barrios, with a total population of more or less 30,000 people and a total land area of 3,290 hectares, mostly agricultural areas.

This Rural Bank was established on September 20, 1967 with an initial capitalization of P250,000.00 and with counterpart capital from the Government of the Philippines of P50,000.00. Now on its 47th year of operation, private paid-in capital (common stock) is P100,000,000.00 and total resources is almost P982,464,491. Because of the increasing volume of transactions, the bank now has seven (7) branches and sixty-five (65) officers and staff.

In the beginning, the people of Pandi were reluctant to go to the bank because they were afraid to borrow money from the bank and ashamed to be called “debtors.” With the initiative of the late Atty. Ciriaco C. Santos, one of its principal founders and former Chairman and President of the bank, and the assistance of representatives of government agencies, meetings and seminars were conducted to educate farmers and entrepreneurs on the value of savings and the proper use of credit.

Initially, the Bank granted non-supervised credit loans. In 1971, supervised credit loans was introduced and the people of Pandi and nearby municipalities became beneficiaries of the different financing programs of the government administered by the then Central Bank of the Philippines, and now the Land Bank of the Philippines, the Development Bank of the Philippines and other government agencies. These financing programs, as well as the bank’s savings mobilization campaign, and of course, the able leadership of the second generation and the unity and cooperation of all its officers and staff, the bank’s resources grew from P10.4 M in 1974 to P982.46 M as of December 31, 2014.

The Rural Bank of Pandi (Bulacan), Inc. has been recipient of various awards like the Golden Plaque Award as 1971 Rural Bank of the Year, 1974, another Rural Bank of the Year award, 1983 a Merit Award for being among the Ten Best Managed Rural Banks in the region awarded by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas.

At present, the Rural Bank of Pandi (Bulacan), Inc. is a collection partner of the Corporate Information Solutions (CIS) - Bayad Center, Inc. (authorized by MERALCO, PLDT, BAYANTEL, SKYCABLE, DIGITEL, EXTELCOM, PHILAMLIFE, SKY INTERNET, SMART, GLOBE, CAP, CAP PENSION), Social Security System and Western Union PETNET.

In addition to these services, the Rural Bank of Pandi (Bulacan), Inc. is also authorized as paying agent of SSS pensions to various SSS pensioners. Emergency loan facilities have also been made available to these SSS pensioners.

At present, Rural Bank of Pandi (Bulacan), Inc. has sixty-five (65) officers and staff and eleven (11) Board of Directors. The bank is headed by the President, Mrs. Cecilia G. Santos-Andres.
